Configure the intercom network settings<\/h2>

Open the intercom Ethernet settings and configure the network parameters so that the device is compatible with the local network.<\/p>

  1. Select “Static”.<\/li>
  2. Enter an available IP address on the local network.<\/li>
  3. Enter the correct gateway address.<\/li>
  4. Check the subnet mask and DNS server values, then select “Verify and restart”.<\/li><\/ol>

    The intercom IP address must be reachable from every Amika tablet that is to be paired with it.<\/p>

    Pair the Amika tablets with the intercom<\/h2>

    Use either automatic detection by the intercom or manual pairing via each individual Amika tablet.<\/p>

    Automatic detection by the intercom<\/strong><\/p>

    1. Switch on all Amika tablets.<\/li>
    2. Connect each Amika tablet to the same local network as the intercom.<\/li>
    3. On the intercom, open “Settings \/ Residents”.<\/li>
    4. Select “Start\/stop automatic detection”.<\/li>
    5. The Amika tablets are automatically detected, added, and configured one after another.<\/li><\/ol>

      Keep the detection page open until all expected Amika tablets appear in the resident list.<\/p>

      Manual pairing via each Amika device<\/h2>
      1. On the Amika device, open the page for adding an intercom.<\/li>
      2. Select the intercom type “Smarthome”.<\/li>
      3. Leave the form fields empty.<\/li>
      4. The intercom IP address must already be pre-filled.<\/li>
      5. Leave the “SIP username” field empty.<\/li>
      6. You may enter a resident name to make it easier to identify the Amika device on the intercom.<\/li>
      7. Select “Verify” and go back.<\/li><\/ol>

        Network check:<\/strong> If the intercom IP address is not already filled in, the Amika device is not communicating with the intercom. Please check the network connection before continuing. <\/p>

          Open the resident management page, select “Add badge”, and hold the badge to the scanner. The number of badges increases and the badge ID is displayed on the screen. <\/p>

          To remove all badges assigned to this resident, select “Remove badges” on the same page.<\/p>

          Delete badges globally<\/strong><\/p>

          Under “Settings” \/ “Residents”, select “Delete a badge” and scan the badge within three seconds to delete it from the system.<\/p>

          Add and identify the relay box<\/h2>
          1. On the intercom, open the “Utilities” menu item and select “Add relay box”.<\/li>
          2. A relay box that is connected to the same network and has not yet been paired with another intercom will automatically appear on this screen.<\/li>
          3. Select the relay box.<\/li>
          4. Use “Start identification” to make the activity LED flash. This confirms communication and helps identify the selected relay box when multiple devices are present on the network. <\/li><\/ol>

            First, assign a static IP address<\/h2>

            The relay box initially uses DHCP. Before configuring its relays, you must change its IP address. After entering a new address, the relay box switches to a static IP configuration. A static address is required for reliable operation. <\/p>

            Important: Configure the relay box IP address before adjusting the relay sequence.<\/strong><\/p>

            Configure the relay sequence<\/h2>

            Enable or disable each relay as required, then configure the opening sequence by specifying the initial delay and activation time for Relay 1 and Relay 2. Select “Verify” to save the configuration.<\/p>

            Reset the relay box<\/h2>

            Reset via the intercom<\/strong><\/p>

            On the relay box settings page, select “Remove” to unpair it and reset the relay box to its default configuration.<\/p>

            1. Press and hold the S button (service button).<\/li>
            2. Press the “Reboot” button once while continuing to hold the S button.<\/li>
            3. After rebooting (3\u20136 seconds), the activity LED starts flashing slowly.<\/li>
            4. After about three seconds, the activity LED starts flashing quickly.<\/li>
            5. Release the S button as soon as the rapid flashing starts.<\/li><\/ol>


              If the S button is held down for too long, the activity LED stops flashing and stays on continuously.
